Where even more is never far away.
With so much to do in Holland, it can be hard to leave. Especially during the summer months. And while we’ll never blame you for spending every glorious day here, we do want to tell you about all of the awesome stuff nearby.
Along the Lake Michigan shoreline, there are quaint lake towns all over. Places like Saugatuck, Grand Haven and South Haven, just to mention a few, offer beautiful art shows and festivals such as the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival. These destinations offer more great beaches, too, such as Saugatuck Dunes State Park, where hiking the remarkable sand dunes are practically a rite of passage. Grand Haven State Park, Oval Beach, South Haven State Park and Muskegon State Park have beautiful beaches a short distance away from the City of Holland.
Looking easterly, Grand Rapids—Beer City, USA—is only 25 minutes away.
And if it’s big cities that suit your fancy, Chicago and Detroit are less than three hours away. Oh, and there’s a ferry that will take you across Lake Michigan to Milwaukee, too.
